Title:
Kunlun Mountain‑Sea Secret Realm Exhibition Opens
News Summary:
The immersive art exhibition “Exploring the Classic of Mountains and Seas – Why Kunlun,” organized by the Qinghai Provincial Propaganda Department and Qinghai Publishing Media Group, will open on the morning of July 9 2026 on the third floor of the Qinghai Art Museum. It will run until late October. The municipal government, the museum, People’s Publishing House and other partners are co‑hosting the event. As a key part of the “West Sea 2261 – Hehuang Cultural Fair,” it is free and open to the public for interactive experiences.
The exhibition is divided into four themes—historical science, art display, digital interaction, and fun participation—with 16 sub‑areas. Displays include ancient texts, primordial deities and Kunlun imagery, Ming‑dynasty ink reconstructions, and more than thirty miniature mythic beasts. Visitors can also enjoy immersive light‑and‑shadow rooms, gesture‑controlled projections, and China’s first large‑scale VR space devoted to the Classic of Mountains and Seas. The mix of static exhibits and digital interactivity aims to present Kunlun culture in ways that young people and plateau residents can see, play with, and take home.
Reflection and Inspiration:
Uniting ancient books with new technology is more than a cultural showcase; it is a heartfelt effort to bring tradition into everyday life. By placing myths, artifacts and video side by side, the exhibition brings history into homes, classrooms and casual conversation, turning tradition into something anyone can touch. The Classic of Mountains and Seas often reminds us to care for the people and things around us, to keep watch and help one another—simple motivations that keep culture alive for the next generation.
May each visit add a little more diligence and integrity, a little more mutual aid and kindness. In our daily work and relationships, guarding the patience and sincerity needed to hand down the good things is the best way to watch over our roots.
